PICKERING — The Pickering nuclear station should remain open until 2024 in order to protect more than 7,500 jobs in Ontario.
Premier-designate Doug Ford said he would commit to keeping the station open until 2024, adding he promised during the recent campaign that he wanted the facility to continue operating.
