Roundtable brings agricultural concerns to the forefront in Uxbridge
Agricultural minister sits down with local stakeholders to talk issues
UXBRIDGE — Area farmers had many suggestions for the province during a Valentine’s Day roundtable.
Agricultural Minister Ernie Hardeman was on hand at Brooks Farms on Feb. 14 to hear from local farmers and agricultural industry leaders on ways the provincial government can help address issues and streamline business.
“The group of farmers was a really great mix of demographics, there was a lot of great input,” said Uxbridge Mayor Dave Barton, who attended the meeting along with local councillors Pam Beach and Willie Popp. Peter Bethlenfalvy, Pickering-Uxbridge MPP and president of the Treasury Board Secretariat of Ontario, also co-hosted.
